The Research project: “Mathematical Model study of River Brahmaputra with Emphasis on
Climate Change” 

Nature of Job is Contractual for 1 year and extendable for three to more years.
Vacancy details with qualification:

1. Junior Research Fellow (1 no.):
Engineering graduate(relevant fields) with good mathematical background
OR
 M.Sc. degree in Applied Mathematics with experience of numerical modeling. Knowledge of GIS and RS application is desired. Candidate appearing final year exam of B.E. / B.Tech can also apply.
Pay: Rs.16000/-+ 20%HRA + Medical Facilities as per  IIT norms.


2. Senior Research Fellow (1 no.):
M. Tech in Engineering
 OR
 M. Phil in Applied Mathematics with modeling experience.
Pay: Rs.18000/- (Scale is negotiable for experienced candidate) p.m.+ 20%
HRA+ Medical Facilities as per Institute rules

APSC Combined Competitive Exam Prelims 2013 Result declared

    Assam Public Service Commission has declared the Results of Combined CCE exam 2013. The exam was held on Dec 29, 2013. About 40,000 candidates appeared for the competitive exam. According to APSC number of candidates will be selected for APSC Mains will be 10-11 times of the number of posts this year. The number of vacancy this year is 241.

The result was declared on 6th Feb 2013. Dates for the APSC  Mains exam 2013 is yet to be declared. Candidates who have cleared the CCE Prelims will have to fill up forms freshly to appear the Mains exam.

Here are Educationsla requirment and experience details of Technical Officers Grade II posts in IIT Guwahti.

(7) Dept. of Physics - 1 position  MSc in Physics / BTech (Engineering Physics) with first class. One year working experience in Physics related research laboratories. MSc in Physics with electronics specialization preferred. Added advanatage will be working knowledge in computer controlled experimental setups for data acquisition. Prior knowledge in handling some of the major equipments such as X-ray diffractometer, high power laser, thin film coating unit, low temperature cryostats, vacuum pump, etc.

(8) Dept. of Chemical Engineering - 1 positon. Candidates having  First Class BE/BTech in Chemical Engineering, Electronics or Electrical Engineering should apply. Minimum one year experience in operation and maintenance of common electrical and electronic components of laboratory equipments. Thorough knowledge of various computer softwares.

(9) Dept. of Civil Engineering - 2 positions. Candidates having first class in  BE/BTech in Civil Engineering or Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering should apply. One year relevant experience in the Civil Engineering Laboratories of reputed  institutions or R & D organizations. Thorough knowledge of computer programming and software applications is desirable.
